“Congress [has] outlined their plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and it’s not good. Not only would we lose the majority of important pieces of the ACA (such as the Medicaid expansion which allowed around 10 million low income uninsured Americans access to healthcare), Planned Parenthood would also lose the majority of its funding. Medicaid patients—the majority of Planned Parenthood’s patients—would be barred from utilizing their health insurance at Planned Parenthoods, and Planned Parenthood would no longer be eligible for federal family planning funding that subsidizes birth control, STI testing and treatment, and other preventative healthcare services.”
